As for me, I do manage to keep up with ruby talk every day. But seeing everything condensed onto one web page is still really helpful to me.

Conversely, I gave up hourly reading of the rails list a while back. Way too much noise and clutter for me. But I do still try head over there now and then just to see what I can learn from what others are talking about.
