A new look 12
It's been a long time coming, but I finally decided to dust off my CSS skillz and give our site a facelift. Well, my CSS combined with Jeff's Mephisto hacking, that is. There may still be some weirdness, if you see anything out of the ordinary, let us know.

Comment error is not coming up well in win/IE7.
Look great! Not sure about the white hover for the Meta hyperlinks though - a bit hard to see on a grey background!
Yeah, love the new look. However, have to agree with John on the white hover on the meta links.
That's better...
Looks great on the iPhone too.
Ok, I admit I also wanted to see what icons I'd get for the os/browser.
Looks good. Clean and simple. Just the way I like it.
Nice look. I'm getting bored with all the bland Scribbish everywhere too :-)
Question - what versions of Mephisto and Rails are you running? I'm about to transplant my blog and am curious what are good stable versions. Also, I notice you're using a distinct style for author comments. Are you using lazy session creation, or just creating a session for all guests? I've heard that the lazy session stuff I added to Mephisto last year was causing errors so Rick removed it.
@josh: funny you ask. We're on a weird version of Mephisto trunk (in between the latest stable and latest edge at revision 2742) and Rails edge (pre-2.0 RC, revision 6155). The latest Mephisto edge is pretty stable. We just didn't go to it out of sheer laziness... we had done some other hackery on our current version and didn't feel like patching it again.
I'm pretty sure I stole the author comment style thing from your blog. It's using lazy session creation AFAIK. But not having any issues thus far.
Looks good!
Just wanted to be the first one with a Linux symbol :)
Looks great!
Looks great!
I don't know wether this has to do with the new style but the code areas in
http://areyoubeewhy.com/2005/10/3/web-user-controls-vs-layouts
are not showing correctly (html escape codes instead of the actual characters).
Great site! thank you.
