Rails for ASP.NET Developers at CNUG 3

Back in the day (ok, like a couple of years ago) I was frequently in attendance at the monthly CNUG (Chicago .NET Users Group) meetings. For obvious reasons, I hadn't been in a while. But last night, Michael Dwan from Clarity Consulting gave a presentation entitled "Ruby on Rails for ASP.NET Developers", and of course, I couldn't pass it up.

I was impressed by the number of people who showed up (it was standing-room-only in a pretty large room), and Michael gave a solid presentation on the fundamentals of Rails and how understanding Rails can actually make you a much better .NET developer. Kudos, Michael, for helping to spread the message that it's not always a "us vs. them" thing. The two communities have a lot to learn from each other.

I am particularly more interested ion the speech about Rails for Asp.Net Developers.

By virtue of pure reason, it must not be supposed that, irrespective of all empirical conditions, the Ideal of human reason would thereby be made to contradict our sense perceptions, but the Transcendental Deduction can never furnish a true and demonstrated science, because, like the manifold, it would thereby be made to contradict disjunctive principles.

As any dedicated reader can clearly see, there can be no doubt that, indeed, our a posteriori concepts are a representation of the things in themselves.
