The Votes Are In 0
Those of you who visit our website (instead of just reading in an aggregator) will notice that we’ve taken down the voting polls for our next Softies seminar. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote.
We were pleasantly surprised to see so how even the voting was regarding location:
The winners appear to be Austin and southern California, but I am somewhat suspicious of the California number – there was one day in particular when we got a ton of California votes, making me think one of you passionate readers out there figured out how to hack the poll :-) We’re also really glad to see the response from Toronto – it’s a place we would definitely like to visit soon.
Regarding, class topic, that one was a bit easier: The one-day class on REST and Web Services won, with the 2-day Essential Rails seminar a close second.
With so many Ruby and Rails conferences coming up the first half of this year, we’re probably going to aim for late summer or early fall for our next class.
We’re also trying something new this year. Finding a good seminar space that can hold 25 people isn’t easy and hotels like to charge an arm and a leg. if you work for a company that would like to host the event in return for some free advertising during the conference, please get in touch with us.
