Interviewed on InfoQ

We were recently interviewed by Rob Bazinet over at InfoQ about our book and how we got started with our careers working with Rails.

I was learning Rails and using it for side-projects while working at my 9-to-5 .NET job for almost 2 years. I was shocked at how much of an immediate impact it had on how I thought about my .NET code. It definitely made me a better developer, and that in itself is reason enough to learn Ruby. Plus, as techies, we're easily distracted by new, shiny things.

Also included is a complete sample chapter from our book (Chapter 2: Switching to Ruby), exclusive to InfoQ. Thanks to Rob for the interview and for posting it.

    Thank you for the mention and thank you for taking the time out of your day for the interview. You guys rock and the topics is near and dear to my heart. I am also a .NET developer who is transitioning to all Rails.

    The book is well-worth a read, the Amazon reviews have been doing very well, congrats.

    I am a .net developer & keen to learn Ruby (and Rails).

    For Rails, I think your book is what I am looking to buy. Which book/online tutorial can help get an experienced developer get fast onto Ruby (as a language/infrastructure/conventions etc)
