You’re probably familiar with the one-click installer for Windows. It will install the latest Ruby interpreter, the latest RubyGems, and a few other Ruby-related libraries onto any Windows machine.
Now, there is also a one-click installer for Mac OS X. The main difference between this installer and the one for Windows is that the Mac version also includes a database engine (SQLite) and Mongrel so you can skip webrick right from the get go. (But remember, just like the Windows installer, the OCI will only install Ruby, not Rails.)
If anyone has tried it, or has any other suggestions for the best way to get a Ruby environment up and running on either Mac or Windows or Linux, drop us a comment.
